Description
Bhasma Rasayan (Ash-based Preparation) is a traditional and effective organic fertilizer that helps in improving soil health and boosting plant growth. It contains essential nutrients like Magnesium, Iron, Sulfur, Magnesia, Copper, Zinc, and Borax, which are beneficial for plants.
To prepare Bhasma Rasayan, a combination of Magnesium (500g), Iron (300g), Sulfur (300g), Magnesia (200g), Copper (100g), Zinc (300g), and Suhaga (100g) is mixed with 8 kg of sea salt, 1 kg of powdered coconut shell, and 100 grams of powdered Harad. This mixture is placed in a clay pot, sealed with wet clay, and buried in the ground. Dry cow dung cakes are placed over the pit, and the mixture is cooked by igniting the cakes and covering the pit with green fodder to trap heat. The cooking process takes approximately 4 hours.
Once the Bhasma Rasayan is ready, it is ground into a fine powder and stored in dry containers. For use, 500 grams of the powder is mixed with 100 liters of water, followed by the addition of 10 liters of microbial solution and 500 grams of jaggery. After the solution is kept covered for 4 days, it is ready to be sprayed on 1 acre of land. This organic solution promotes healthy soil and increases microbial activity, leading to improved crop yield and better soil fertility.
